Learning Vocabulary

Since my childhood, my father always asked me to do list few vocab. I didn't know what my father's purpose. I searched, wrote and remembered minimal 50 hard words from my books. This is routine activity everyday. I sorted Alphabet from A to Z. 

I bought dictionary English-Indonesia by him to find words easily. Eh,, by the way, beside it, there's Alfa Link or you can say it "Digital Dictionary" is more cool & sophisticated but more expensive (loh!). In 2013, that gadget have many kinds of feature and specification. They are Language Database from Oxford & Comet, Pronounciation, Spelling, simulation test TOEFL, GRE, SAT and GMAT, MP3 & MP4, modern word (red: Bahasa Gaul) (ex: BNBI || Brand New in the Box-Barang Baru, LOL || Laughing Out Loud-Tertawa Terbahak-bahak, etc), Science Formulas, Calculator, and many more. Wow.. how fantastic dictionary with many functions it's!! (Quoted from Ilmu Komputer Magazine)

So, why must learning vocab? What's advantage?

• Understand with English text or when someone spoke english easily
• Make a text in English easily
• Speak English fluently with memories about vocab you have
• Use for Scrabble, Spelling Bee game, etc

• Helplessness : Ketidakberdayaan
• Justice : Keadilan
• Pod : Kulit kacang polong
• Groove : Alur/lekuk
• Incorporate : PT (Perseroan Terbatas)
• Prove : Membuktikan
• Worth : Berharga
• Punchcard : Kartu berlobang-lobang
• Plow : Bajak
• Implant : Penanaman
• Imperial : Kekaisaran/kerajaan
• Palace : Istana
• Grove : Belukar/Hutan kecil
• Promenade : Tempat berjalan
• Waterfront : Tepi laut
• Fade : Memudar
• Rioter : Perusuh
• Perfunctory : Acuh tak acuh
• Assassination : Pembunuhan
• Sanctity : Kesucian
• Beyond : Melampaui, alam baka
• Household : Rumah tangga
• Invoke : Memohon, meminta
• Indebted : Berhutang

In fact, people included me felt it must not memorized but I totally agree if there's say "Text in your proposal had controlled by you with mean of vocab which you searched before".
